Especially the ones about working alongside a team or MSP you already have, since that's a newer idea than the usual "let us take over your IT" pitch.
Because having tools isn't the same as having someone responsible for them. We don't ask you to replace what's already working. Instead, we take ownership of the pieces that usually fall through the cracks: making sure your Microsoft 365 setup is configured properly, that access gets removed the same day someone leaves, that backups actually work, and that whoever's helping informally has someone senior to check their work against. Think of it as adding oversight and consistency, not adding another vendor to manage.
Smaller organizations often have fewer people around to notice a technology problem before it affects the people you serve, which makes clear ownership more valuable, not less. We scope every engagement to your actual size, from a single small site to a multi-site operation, starting with a free IT Health Check, not a one-size-fits-all package.
We don't replace your MSP. We sit alongside them as the senior technical judgment most programs don't have in-house. We audit their work against sector-specific standards (CCALA, PIPA, FOIPPA), translate their recommendations into plain language for your board or funder, and take direct ownership of pieces most MSP contracts don't cover, like compliance systems and funder security questionnaires. It's the same model as a fractional executive layered over an operations team you already trust, not a reason to replace that team.
You do, always. Before any engagement starts, we agree a written scope defining what we're accountable for and what stays with your existing team or MSP. Where our recommendation differs from theirs, we lay out the tradeoffs in plain language so you or your board can decide. We're not asking for authority over your vendor. We're giving you the judgment to direct that vendor yourself.
Possibly, if you keep your current MSP for day-to-day execution. Our engagement is scoped as an addition to that spend, not a replacement for it. During your free IT Health Check, we'll also flag if your current MSP costs could come down once responsibilities are clearly divided. If you have no IT support today, we can include finding and vetting a provider as part of the engagement, so you see the full cost picture from day one.
Every engagement includes a starting monthly allotment of hands-on execution time, scoped to your organization during your free IT Health Check. Time beyond that allotment is billed hourly and agreed in advance.
We recommend Canadian-hosted providers wherever a suitable option exists for your budget and platform, and we'll flag it explicitly if a recommended tool stores data outside Canada, so you can make an informed call, including for funder reporting.
Everything stays yours. Client records, EHR configurations, and documentation remain your organization's property. At offboarding, we provide a full export and a transition briefing to your team or incoming provider.
Our website's contact form is processed by Formspree; see our Privacy Policy for details. For active client engagements, our data processing agreement lists every subprocessor with access to client-adjacent systems.
We aim to respond to advisory requests within one business day, and same day for anything flagged urgent.
A short, plain-language written summary of your current setup measured against CCALA and PIPA expectations, prioritized findings, and, if you'd like to proceed, a scoped proposal. No pitch deck, no pressure, and no obligation either way.
